A violent clash that erupted between the Hausa youths and Gbagyi youths living in Bwari community of Abuja area has left one dead and several injured.
The fight allegedly started after the turbaning of a new Hausa traditional ruler known as "Sarkin Bwari" who is of a different lineage from the Gbagyi people that are traditionally known to have the title of "Esu of Bwari", Sahara Reporters reports.

The Gbagyi residents accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello and other officials of conniving with non-natives to deprive the natives of their right to be the paramount ruler of the town.

The protest led to a lash between the Gbagyi youths and the Hausa in the community leading to several properties getting damaged.
Many houses were reportedly razed to the ground and a market was set ablaze too.Soldiers have been deployed to the community to put an end to the unrest
