The emir of Kano and former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria Muhammadu Sanusi II has blamed the immediate past president Goodluck Jonathan for not supporting the independence of a Palestinian state during his administration.Emir Muhammad Sanusi II, on Wednesday, August 10 urged the federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari to back the need for a free Palestinian state.

The former apex bank governor made this known at a one-day international conference on Palestine with the theme, “Palestine question; Issues, Challenges and Actions.”
The programme which was held in Kano, Northwest Nigeria, was put together by the Centre for Promotion of Shari’a in partnership with Jama’atut Tajdidil Islamiya and the Afro-Middle East Centre, South Africa.
