A Nigerian passenger on Emirates Airlines on Wednesday July 12, slumped and died on arrival at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, NAN reports.
The passenger who arrived on the aircraft with registration number EK783 (DX), was identified as Dr. Olusola Dada with passport number A04501199.
The spokesperson for the Lagos Airport Police Command, Joseph Alabi, confirmed the incident on Thursday, July 13.
Mr. Alabi, a deputy superintendent of police, said the incident was reported to the police authorities after the passenger was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The deceased, who was said to have flown in from the U.S. alongside his wife, reportedly collapsed at about 3.55p.m. at the airport screening point.
Efforts by the airport medical personnel to resuscitate Mr. Dada were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at 5.34 p.m.
It was further gathered that the deceased was the district governor-elect, Lions Club International, District 404 A1.

Details about the circumstances that led to her death were initially sketchy, but she was believed to be traveling for medical treatment abroad.
Moments before her death the passenger reportedly suffered a bout of pain that made her rush to the toilet where she died.
