Brazil maintained their dominance in the South American section of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification with a 3-0 emphatic win over Chile in the wee hours of Wednesday, October 11.
Not only did the victory help rivals Argentina qualify to the World cup, it sent Chile out of next year's tournament as Peru secured the sole spot for the international play-off against New Zealand to be in Russia 2018.
The Selecao were the only South American side guaranteed to be at next year's World Cup before the game, but that did not stop their coach Tite from fielding a very strong squad which included PSG star Neymar against Chile who had not scored in any of their previous four away qualifiers.
