Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has described Veteran Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon as an "Alien."
The Chelsea hit-man hailed Buffon, who is a legend and one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of football and describe him as someone who it’s always hard to play against.
Interestingly, Morata will be facing his former Juventus team-mate Buffon on Saturday when Spain entertains Italy in World Cup qualifier.
The two players spent two seasons together at Juventus and believed the 39-year-old goalkeeper and Iker Casillas are the best goalies of all time.
‘Buffon is an Alien” Morata told El Pais
“I think He and Casillas are the greatest goalies of all time. You can’t repeat two guys like that; it’s difficult”.
“They may not have the strength or agility to use to have, they force you on one-on-one.”
“After over 20 years as a professional, Buffon knows the movements and what the forwards are thinking of”.
Morata also hailed ex-team-mate Giorgio Chiellini; the star defender will miss Italy’s encounter with Spain and Israel due to injury.
“When you play against Chiellini, it’s like you’re being caged with a gorilla and you must steal his food,” says Morata
“I think the few goals I had against Chiellini was in the area; you can’t win a one-on-one situation against Chiellini.”
