Arsenal have tabled a £44m to sign France striker Alexandre Lacazette in a £44m deal from Ligue 1 side Lyon, according to reports.
The Evening Standardis reporting that the north London side want to sign the centre-forward in the 2017 summer transfer window.
The same article states that the Gunners have managed to negotiate Lacazette’s asking price down after Lyon initially asked for £52m.
According to the London-based paper, Arsenal have submitted a club-record offer to sign the striker as Arsene Wenger looks to sign his long-term target.
Lacazette has a prolific record in Ligue 1 since breaking into the Lyon team in 2010 after scoring an incredible 100 goals in 203 appearances in the French top flight.
